Garand copied the French RSC 1917 action and trigger. ......The M16 used the French direct gas impingment system... Tokarev copied the French tilting bolt for the SVT. and the 1911 for the TT33...Everything is a copy.....Including the 1903 Springfield....It's a Mauser.... This is not a copy... Gary.
