I'd invest in a new buttstock first. Yours can't be very stable when the entire shoulder must be missing from the wrist....Hm, what tangled anatomical web we weave!
The forend has been brutally over-sanded as well.
Finish on the metal looks nice though and a LSA No1 is always a nice and rare one to have.
Getting back to the scope mount though, for the No1 and to look "period", what you need the base Parker Hale designed for the Winchester A5 scope. There's a photo of one on here.
