What type Rockola slide is this?

This eBay auction is for a Type 1 Rockola slide. I doubt it's a Type 1, but doesn't really look like a Type 2 either. Could it be a "transition" between Type 2 and Type 3? Something about the arc doesn't look like any others I've seen. Thanks! - Bob

Operating slide, type A variation 2 (partial concave cut at rear). Did not show a picture though.

Bob, it's a type II. Allegedly, Rock-Ola did not use thy I slides. The type I and II only differ in the curved half circle. Type I slides have a full half circle where the type II has a shelf that breaks the half circle on the rear left. Kind of hard to explain but it's a type II.

Thanks, you guys. I do have WarBaby! but sometimes need reminding to read it! I also have a Type 2 Inland slide, but it doesn't look much like the one in the auction. Maybe it's the angle of the photo - I'll have to dig mine out and look at it closer. - Bob

I looked at WarBaby page 401 and Riesch 6th edition pages 60 and 61 - also noted what Riesch said about manufacturing differences regarding Types 1 and 2. Now I think the slide in the auction has the narrow arm joint more like the Type 3. In comparing to my Inland Type 2, it's different - so is still puzzling to me. Here's a picture I just took of my Type 2 from about the same angle vs. the auction slide. - Bob

I think it is an E169 by Carbine Club standards. Depending on the cam cut and a better picture of the arm joint area.

I think Loren is right about this slide. Only used for a very short time of maybe six weeks or so.

This was done by someone else. But shows what we are talking about. In the pictures you posted, I can't see the bolt cam area to know if it is cut flat or heart shaped.

I don't think the circular cut on the inertia block of the eBay slide looks like any of those in the chart Jim posted. It looks to me like the way it's cut near the hole for the recoil spring guide, would give it the narrow arm joint like the Type 3. Maybe this picture from the auction is clearer on the differences in that area. Do you see what I'm talking about? Or, is this just normal variations in the way the machining was done? Thanks. - Bob
