I am back with another Type 1 Trigger Guard question. I have two Type 1 Trigger Guards.
1. has a Drawing Stamp on the underside of the guard by the safety hole, C-46025-1 and the stud on the inside is inserted in a hole and then stamped. The stud rotates within the hole.
2. has a R stamped on the inside of the trigger guard well and the stud on the inside is machined or milled with the trigger guard.
Can anyone give any information on these Type 1 Trigger Guard? Who made them, why is the drawing number stamped on one, what years they were produced and assembled on the My Garand???
