In answer to a question from one of the registrants for the shoot, the Ross shoot will utilize standard DCRA paper targets. V = 1 moa, 5 ring = 2 moa, 4 ring = 6 moa, 3 ring = 8 moa
Target pullers have been laid on.
Still some room in the event, in case you're wondering.

Well, if your plans change, swing by if you can, Gary.
While the Ross rifle Mr. Hawkins used at the 1913 event is still around, it won't be on hand for the shoot. The current owner has provided some great photos of Mr. Hawkins and the rifle, though, and we'll have them on hand at the event.
Registration for the shoot remains open at Buffalo Target Shooters Association Event Registration | Home of the: 2013 IPSC ALBERTA PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

How are things going with the flooding down there?

There is a lot of water on the move in this part of the province for sure, and a great number of people across the region have been affected, sadly. My thoughts are with those who have been affected - which includes my brother, whose house now has Cougar Creek running partially underneath it.
Also affected is the road to Homestead Range. The bridge on the road in is now out of commission. As the rain is still falling it's too soon to say how quickly the road might be back open again, but trust that the Alberta Provincial Rifle Association, which runs the Homestead facility, as well as the other industrial users of the road, will be looking to get things back up and running as soon as possible. I will provide an update once I have an idea of timeline. Thanks.

Reports are in that the road to the Homestead facility is open again now that water levels are lower in the region. So the shoot is on.

Bisley Shoot
Hi all.
It was this shoot post that got me interested in my old Ross again; see new member post. Firstly, how did the shoot go? Secondly, will there be a follow-up shoot this year?
Thanks.
