    THE ARMOURER

A REME welder, a VM and an Armourer are standing before GOD at the throne of heaven.

GOD looks at the welder first and asks, "What is it you believe?" - The welder looks GOD in the eye and states passionately, "I believe the Corps to be the pillar of all things. Nothing else brings so much professional fulfilment and the desire to attain the highest peaks, I have devoted my life to being a good welder and getting the best from the team"

GOD considers this, looks up and offers the welder the seat on his left.

He then turns to the VM, and you, what is your belief. The VM stands tall and proud, "I believe courage, honour are the fundamentals of life and I've spent my whole career providing a living embodiment of these traits"

GOD, moved by his passion of the speech indicates the seat to his right.

Finally, he turns to the Armourer, what is it you believe?"

"I believe".... the Armourer said ".. that you're sitting in my seat."
