I was given these two pistols by my sister in law. They were used in the Civil War by her Great Great Great(I'm not sure how many Greats it should be)Uncle. She is going to send me his information so I can research it. The Savage North Percussion Navy Revolver and the Smith and Wesson Volcanic Iron Frame Pistol are both mechanically sound and in good shape for their age. The holster looks to be original to the Savage but I am not a holster authority so I don't know for sure. These are the first examples of either of these pistols that I have ever seen in person. I was surprised how big the Savage is and how small the Volcanic is. She knows that I am an avid collector and felt I should have them.
