After coming out with my intial answer I am going to have to amend it as it seems I was about half right.
I have access to two pattern 18 scopes. Each is the opposite of the other as far as the clockwise/anticlockwise adjustment. The 5 inches of adjustment at 100 yards appears consistent.
Both scopes are AOC manufactured in 1944. The only apparent difference that I can see is that one is a low mount scope and the other is a high mount scope.
Does anyone have the book/manual for this scope? Curious to now know which is wrong.
Both scopes function perfectly, are clear and in good condition. One is mounted on a reproduction Lithgow
HT and the second is on a Lithgow HT.
JMoore - you are right re the Pattern 18 scopes, they don't often need adjustment and once adjusted they do seem to stay put fairly well.
I haven't had anything to do with the adjustment of Arisaka
Type 97 or 99 scopes. They sound challenging.
Regards
Mark

Hi Brian
That would be the Small Arms Training inc. Zeroing the '18 and Aldis telescopic sights on your website??
What is the easiest way for me to order the book off you?
Can also see a couple of other books there that I would be interested in as well.
Thanks.
