It's a fair cop. Even "ambidextrous" means "possessing two right hands." The funny thing is that profoundly left-handed (left-eyed?) people even SEE differently.

One of my favorite wine makers is Molly Dooker, Aussie slang for "southpaw." Both the owner and his wife are lefties, maybe that's why their wines are so good

Is that right? We had a few lefties and we eventually found ways to overcome problems. The old crew did like Bob says though. Wrong handed and learn to shoot right handed...then they couldn't hit anything. The real problem was a master eye/hand, opposite...

And back in the day lefties were forced to use their right hand for things like shooting and writing. Even when I was in school teachers would attempt to influence lefties to use their right hand. My son is left handed but shoots both pistol and rifle right handed. I never encouraged him to shoot that way. In fact, when teaching him early on how to shoot I felt it was easier because all my moves were mirrored with his. Somewhere along the way he decided right was the way to go. He can shoot quite well left handed still.
They say if the brain works opposite to side then left handed people are in their right mind

Bill, your son might be right-eye dominant. My two sons and my wife are all right-handed and left eye dominant.

My wife is righty but left eye dominant. She doesn't shoot much but I tell her to close her left eye. With rifles, I'm not sure how else you'd do it other than having her shoot lefty. With pistols, she could use her left eye, but she doesn't shoot enough to really get into it.

Make that two. Right handed but visually challanged (blind) in right eye. Began shooting lefty so lefty feels right. Fairly ambi with a handgun though primarily right handed pulled in front of the left eye. Real freak.
