    Tell him that Peter Laidlericon told you that it SHOULD be missing the front thread! Originally the tins were made with BOTH spigots threaded but if the bracket was slightly out or some other mishap prevented the thumbscrew threads engaging, then the whole tin was unserviceable. SO guess what they did? Yep. bored out the front thumbscrew thread!
