Flander's Flap on that site again!!
States that it has military markings but shows none in the two pictures he posted in the auction. You would think that if it is original and has markings then the seller would show it.
Let's see what happens with this one.

Good catch. I couldn't see it until I zoomed in on my iPhone. The arrow looks interesting. Might just be a mark next to the upper portion of the arrow.

There are two flaps up for grabs, one is the one you posted, the other is a replica with the initials of the makers in the same location as the arrow.

Well - I was the one who "paid to see", so just waiting for the mailman.
I worked on the philosophy that it was only 50% above the going rate for reproduction ones, and with the 100 year anniversary of WW1 coming up I could always get my money back from re-enactors, and, if it was the 'real deal' it was a fair price to add it to my SMLE 'bits and pieces' collection.
Now I know who the seller is, a well known gunsmith, shooter at Bisley and acknowledged reference source on Enfield 'things' I feel happier.
Pictures will be posted on receipt.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Marked with WD 'arrow' (crows foot) with what looks like M ? S below it (I cannot make out the ?)

Amazing...almost brand new and nearly 100 yrs old? I guess there's still hope for me finding a treasure yet.
