One of the dealers who used to shoot with our local club who usually had a few good/decent No1 rifles to sell/trade, used to come to the shoots with an 'earless' nose cap with an opened out muzzle aperture that he would put on rifles needing to be zeroed to an individual. That way he could use the usual issue tool/cramp thinggy. A use for a damaged nose cap?
I suppose the RCO's are al;ways a bit safetl conscious Jesse but you would never need to be in front of the riflew to zero it. Maybe you could give him the bolt OR leave it behind you, in his sight while you're doing it. We would certainly allow this when Armourers were doing something on the range if they left the breech block and carried behind the firing lineInformation
