I have 2 that I have owned for 30+ years and still have all my fingers. Yes the are worse than the M1
thumb if your fingers get caught.

You also might want to try our Google CSE custom search engine located in the top right corner below the words "Advanced Search". It only searches our site using Google techniques and can be quite efficient. For example, in your case, type in the words ljungman and see what happens ..
There are some old discussion threads and pics on the subject.

Have had a couple, but only retain the first one. It's sort of a high polish version, apparently done before the serial number was applied. Can only guess it was for the palace guard or something.

I have the Swedish
6.5 Ag42. no problems. Then I found the Egyptian Hakim in 8 Mauser. Same rifle, but with a very efficient muzzle brake. These rifles use the French
tilting bolt and direct impingement gas system. Very well made. LOW recoil. gary.

Have a few of them, Very well engineered and they are very much under appreciated.
