Dear Halehound:
Welcome to Netherlands collecting.
First, it is a Model 1895 (Dutch Mannlicher)...M1893 was the Romanian design, different in woodwork, bands, etc. from the M95.
Next, there is such a variety of Dutch Mannlichers, especially in the "Carbines/Musketoons" area. Metropolitan, and KNIL (East Indies) Cavalry, Engineers/Artillery/Marechausee (MPs) and so on; and then in the 1920s and 30s, Hembrug Arsenal converted and rebuilt a lot of them.
It is essential to have good photos for ID, and of all the Markings on Metal and Wood.
There is only one good Book on Netherlands Firearms, by Dutch Authors..Hard to get.
Awaiting Photos,
