My new Eddystone
Hi. Everyone. I just picked up a late production Eddystone. The barrel date is 9-18. I've got some pictures on Photobucket. I'm going to supply the link and hope that I read the picture hosting instructions correctly. Everything, including the stock has an "E" on it with the exception of the bolt handle. The handle is stamped "R". It came with a Kerr sling that has a July 21,1914 date. Okay here's the link.

Nice score, an Eddystone will be my next purchase, always wanted one as I live 2 miles from where they where made in Eddystone Pa.
As an aside, I've paid good money to be flogged with a wet mop head..

I just got an Eddystone too, must be something in the air. Mine is also a 9-18 rife. All E's and the big bonus to me is the Elmer Keith inspection stamp. I love these guys and they are my favorites of the American 30-06 rifles.

Very Nice rifles guys. I too got a 9-18 yesterday. Looks like they do come in 3s. My has mostly Es except for the cocking piece. It's showing a little more wear...
