GolfBravoUSMC,
You got a great deal. The ammo is worth about $500 alone. Add those other items up and you paid less then $100 for the carbine. Quite the score.
From your pictures it looks like a rebuilt carbine that has been somewhat sporterized, IE the pad on the stock.
I live about 35 minutes from you. If you want to get together and take it apart, (I have the tools). Check part codes, (I have the books). Go over what is said about Winchester in "War Baby" just send me a PM and we can get together.
Front sight on backwards? You didn't get it on Cypress St in Walnut Creek did you? I saw an NPM there a couple years back and told him the sight was on backwards. He told me I was wrong. I just left.
I did a small edit on your post. I will PM you why.
Jim

That SEY magazine is enough to make most of us envious! Nice deal for sure. - Bob

I could tell it was special just looking at it. It has a couple of tiny dings and a little insertion wear but otherwise in in great shape. I have no idea what it's worth. Do they have a mag size limit in Oregon?

From what I can see in the pictures, I'd say $100 plus - no limit on the mags here yet, but they're been working on it. - Bob

Nice job finding your parts.
Quit rubbing it in Bill. He lives about 30 minutes from me here in Kalifornia.
