WWII Dog tag like bracelet? Anyone ever seen one of these?

Hello all. This is my first post. I was trying to Identify this bracelet or just get some info on it. It was given to me by my mother. It belonged to her father who was in the Army Air Corps.
I am trying to get some info on it. Anything at all. I have been told everything from trench art to not from this country.

ID bracelets were a common "PX" purchase item. Not all US servicemen had these, but they were pretty common.

It would appear that it would be something he had made for himself, which he felt passionate about, and reflected in the countries he possibly served in ie NZ/Australia/Netherlands and Poland?
Dog tags with all nations are SOP and warn around the neck

As stated these bracelets were very common with airmen especially. Custom done in many cases. Like this one. Very personal.

The Bonklip band was a popular style watch band of the era.

Intteresting thing but very personal. Gary, is this home-made ID disc fixed to a general issue watchband of the era? If it is, the badges are very small if they're brass and soldered on.

I believe it was something this gentleman had made(in London?) at the time and they used a commercial watch band to secure it with.
