Nope! The translator was quite clear that it was Tawian (SP) Formosa was an earlier name.
I glanced at Wikpedia and my guess is that poster was earlier than 1970

Reading Chinese is like trying to picture what the words conjure up in your mind. I take it that Medic is right. The last two characters reads Taiwan. The phrase can also be interpreted as "Above all, we must liberate Taiwan".

From my limited knowlage yours is not a unique sentament. Taiwan seems to be doing quite well without the Chinese. The quality of their manufactured goods is head and shoulders above those coming from the PRC.
