Hi All: Looking for a good site to help me fulfill my life-long dream...to locate a good donor, small ring mauser (preferably a german-made Swedish
mauser) to build into a good shooter. Any help from ya'll insofar as parts for my project will be greatly appreciated!
I am a long-time gunsmith and not getting any younger. If I do not start this pretty soon I will never get it finished.
Any ideas as far as a source for either a complete M 96 or a good action or barreled action as a platform?

Hello from central Oklahoma!
So what is this forum's equivalent to the automotive forum question of, "What's the best motor oil?"
I have an elderly relation who is disbursing his possessions as he sees fit.
I have been given a couple of weapons that he had collected over the years.
The first was an M-1 Garand
, the second is a 1903 Springfield.
The '03 has a bit of history behind it so I am trying to figure out more.
Will be posting about it in the proper forum.
Take care!

New to Milsurps.com...
Hi
I'm a new member, based in Toronto, Canada
. I've only been shooting and collecting for three years, but I'm having a great time.
My main interests are Enfields (I'm from London), firearms made in Toronto during WW2, and modern military-configured black rifles.
I'm very glad to be here…

Hello, I have 2 Krag
Constabulary Carbines in rough shape. Trying to decide about restoring? All the experts say don't restore any antique gun :but these 2 look bad to me. Only a fanatic could take pleasure in these guns with peeling chrome and goobered stocks. Let me hear some opinions? Regards, P. Mortensonhttps://www.milsurps.com/images/smilies/confuse.gif

Battle rifle collector
Hi and thanks for having me. I've been collecting battle rifles and some black powder pieces over the last 5 years. I have become addicted. My latest project is restoring a Springfield M1
Garand.
I'm a retired suburban Chicago police officer.

Hello all. I got the milsurp bug when I bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 last year. So far I've added an M48A Yugo
Mauser. an Enfield No. 4 Mark I, and a Springfield 1903 Mark I. Hope to get some good info from this forum.

New Garand/Carbine owner!
I recently got addicted to buying WW1 and WW2 military rifles.....
I picked up a 1941 low serial 6 digit Winchester Garand
and Underwood 30 carbine last night and was looking for some info, and seen this sight recommended on some other forums.
Great sight! Glad I joined!

Hi. I was born in London England
, served in Germany
in the British Army, 2 years National Service/Conscription, 1954-56. Moved to Greenfield Iowa on retirement in 2003. Eventually becoming a Citizen. I found this forum, while researching information about the thread forms used on Lee Enfield, .303 rifles. Having just received a No1 Mk III* manufactured in 1949 by R.P.I. Rifle Factory Ishapore. India. That is enough about me, I am off to visit your location, to post information about Taps & Dies, and a possible source in the U.K. Thank You.
