I have an LL M1icon that I had an offer on while we had registration...I had to refuse and then the offer dried up. I'd jump on it like a dog on a bee if it happened now.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I believe that James River Armory is still located in a warehouse complex in Arbutus, a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. I didn't see much definitive information on their website.

I don't know who makes receivers for them, they don't see anxious to discuss that. It may or may not be the company that makes receivers for Fulton Armory (located 15 miles away in Savage, MD), which doesn't like to discuss their suppliers, either.

i was wondering if a newbie might prevail upon the old hands here for some advice. it seems there are a lot of unscrupulous parts dealers out there and it's hard to tell what's what. would it be possible to get recommendations for the more reliable people in the business? i know about bill ricca from reading here, are there others?
    thanks

Eddie is good. There are a lot of good sellers out there.

But I always advise newbies against trusting any seller ratings on CMPicon. There are 10% or so who are the unscrupulous ones and they even have acquaintances there who will publicly support them as worthy when they are not. Ratings are not honest for these sellers because nobody wants to have retaliatory negative feedback from them. You have to be very careful.
