The six-pointed star found on weaponry is nothing to do with Israel, less for a very few actual Israeli ownership-marked weapons.
The six-point star on swords and other weaponry is a very old English proof mark for sword blades. IIRC its origins is not clear, but is thought by some to have originally indicated Damascus steel. The mark is still applied to Britishmilitary swords today, and other derivative swords such as US and Commonwealth. As sword blades were often procured from the likes of Sollingen in Germany
, the mark is also found extensively on European military arms.
Almost certainly the Weedon mark is an adaptation of this tradition proof/quality mark.
