T 's back something for the forum
Well have the T back and my teaked Mk III so will try and get to the range and continue the saga.
I have taken some pics of the stockmakers Mk I that he did an English walnut stock for as he had some lying around and thought his Mk I would look good.
He has been a stock maker for 35 years and learned the trade from his Grandfather all by hand and eye as he does not use or own a pantograph.
Sprinter arms did the new barrel for him hand filing the knox form to the correct profile from the old one.
We were a bit rushed as there was another client there waiting for his gear such is this bloke in demand, I also forgot to get pics of the 3 shot clover leaf group this rifle produced at 50m sorry guys.
And I am not driving the 250 klm's one way ta get the pic sorry bout that but I saw the target.
Any way hope you like the pics it is a one of a kind.

Hey CINDERS,
That is one pretty looking rifle you have there. And as stated before, you are lucky to have such a talented stockmaker nearby. I used to have one about a mile from here, then he started doing special projects for Browning Arms. The next thing you know Browning hired him and he moved to Festus, Missouri, USA. He has since gone to Browning's in-house engraving school and has become their No.1 engraver.
If I could only train a few termintes to follow directions maybe I could get that done? HA HA.

Very Very nice!!!!
Lining screw heads up, I do exactly the same where I can, even when I'm fitting panels to our jets, trying to line up 30 odd fasteners is OCD but I just can't help it. I was brought up in the 'If it looks right' school of thought.

Lovely piece of material. Top grade work. I've saved this so I can show a shooter/cabinetmaker friend of mine. He'll love it.

What an awesome bit of wood. Stockmaking to that quality is dying art in this country.
The transit chest is actually a lot easier than it seems to be. I got my dad to build one for my No1Mk3* and although it had a few issues ( and that he used maple and waxed it instead of pin and paint ) it showed that they aren't too hard. I build a 'transit chest' for my MkIV Snider from memory and it does the job...... though it's huge.
