Saw a Krag in a movie
It was too cold here tonight to do much but stay inside and keep the fire going, so I dug out an old VHS copy of the movie "Death Hunt". While watching it, I noticed that the character played by Lee Marvin was using a Krag
rifle. Looked like a sporterized 1896 model to me. Anyway, here are some scenes from the movie of Marvin and the Krag. Good Movie in my opinion.

Always liked that movie for the guns. The final scene where he prepares a deliberate off hand shot at Johnson is classic. I think it would have been a hold over from his own basic training...lots of good guns there.

It's a Norwegian
Krag
. My grandpa looked a lot like Lee Marvin, and served from WWII through the beginning of Vietnam, when he said two wars was enough. He was a lot like the character Lee Marvin played in The Dirty Dozen.

Yep.. a Norge-Krag it is... the step in the magazine cover gives it away right away. --JT

Link to listing of firearms and their appearance in the movies. Quite interesting.
