I think that good in this respect is a relative term. Good to me may not be good to you, especially when compared to Eley Tenex. Good to me is consitantly hitting a smallbore chicken silhouette at 100m, or a 2" ten ring. For benchrest shooters, anything approaching .5" at 50m is unacceptable.
The only ammo that is never worth the cheapest price to me has always been Winchester T-22. But I have heard others swear by it.
If your gun likes cheap ammo, it will really like the expensive stuff, I have often found.
