Anybody know of a good spot that's publicly accessible near Vicksburg, Ms. USA
, where fox squirrels might be hunted for 1/2 or a whole day? Have a road trip coming up to do some real estate sales prep for a friend and I am trying to convince him to take some time off to hunt.

I know this thread is about 3 months old but with that many tree rats, I would be having a lot of fried Squirrel, Biscuits & Gravy..............

Well done that. That way the kids don't think you're mean...or the wife...only Miss Jack knows the truth. I'm sure she won't tell.

A wire cage trap baited with peanut butter followed by a full immersion baptism in a 5 gallon bucket of water.
Or a shot of happy gas in a bin liner via the car exhaust if you're more sympathetically inclined.

Squirrel season's over. And the last of the fresh meat is gone now. Brined for 6 days, baked with basil, fresh rosemary and a wee bit of raw honey (from out of the hive pulled from the living room ceiling) at 225 f for 5 hours. Good grief! Delicious and tender. Wanting more!

Did get a consolation rabbit during the next to last hunt. The squirrel's better tasting.

That's handy, keeping your bees in the living room ceiling...not too far to go for your tea sweetener.
