I reckon all flame thrower operators should have received the Medal of Honour for going in to the fray with that lot strapped to their back.

If you see one operate in person, you will be floored. We held one GCA
convention at Allan Cors's Virginia Military Museum, and they did a re-enactment of a WWII Marine squad attacking a pillbox. Extremely realistic, including a mortar firing rounds that appeared to explode on the target... chook, BAM! Then the squad assaulted and the flame thrower guy cut loose -- WOW! The crowd was in bleachers about 50 yards away, we went nuts!
Real men measure once and cut.
