1945 Longbranch No4mk1*T Serial and Scope List
I just picked up 90L8099 rifle with REL mk3 scope number 62-C. Since there is a definite likely serial range for these rifles and scopes, would there be interest in trying to list all the known (still in existence) ones, with a short comment on each? Perhaps some observations like "rear sight", savage marked parts, import marks, etc. I know a few on this board have saved up their observations on the 90L/REL mk3 scopes. Perhaps we could have a thread to share and correlate all this info?
Notes: Where two observations are made on the same rifle, I am currently listing both but will try and correlate at a later date.
List started 24 March2014

Interesting to note that there are only very small gaps of ten or twenty in the whole list, but the last theoretical 50 or so rifles are nowhere to be seen. Is it possible these stayed in Canada
and were smelted upon removal from service?

78-C: sure I've seen that one mentioned somewhere over the years.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

I'll pour over this forum and see what other numbers I can harvest, and start to list them all in the first post.
I used to own 90L8077 with scope number 48C. It has changed hands several times since I had to let it go.
