Tribute Shooter
Tribute Carbine build. I wanted a shooter. So here it is. 5 Rounds fired on Mar 10.
Function test. New ROCKOLA Receiver. SA Barrel. Underwood Trigger Group. Round Underwood Bolt. Aftermarket Anniversity Stock. I hope this does not offend anyone here.
I'm working on two more configurations with different looks. I had a little Sun here too.

FortDIX6668, I don't think you're going to offend anybody here with your build. We know it's not an original Rockola, and you're not trying to fool anybody with it. I hope it turns out to be a good shooter!
The rear sight seems to be awfully far to the right. Did the receiver and the barrel have index marks to line up?
Regards.....Frank

Nice looking little carbine. Like Frank says, check the barrel index...you won't hit a flock of barns at uneven ranges.

I like your serial number. Consecutive even numbers, 246. I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you all for understanding where I'm coming from.
Yes it is indexed correctly. Rear sight is not in the right position yet.
I needed tools which I now have. My other builds will be with a New
Fulton receiver & a Springfield Armory NOS forged receiver. Inland &
Underwood Trigger groups. Round Underwood Bolts NOS. Repo ParaTrooper
and a different After market Tribute stock. Thats my plan.

Welcome to the forum. As far as M1
Carbines go, the vast majority of the remaining weapons are absolute mix-masters, so don't feel bad. Nice looking carbine, BTW Enjoy!

I like that idea - you get a well-made carbine that you don't mind shooting. Nice job! Yes, you can use the correct sight pusher on it, but you could use a hammer and wood dowel too.
Drift it until its tight enough to shoot. Center the aperture. Fire two rounds at 25 yds. Assuming its shooting well right, tap it over. Repeat until its very tight and pretty much centered. now finish adjusting it with the windage knob.
