A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). I'll be very interested in how that optic works. Does it have a reticle pattern or just battery operated...or both?
    Regards, Jim

Uses a single AAA battery rated for 1000 hours, I am still on the first battery after a year. It has 4 different reticules, A 2 moa dot, dot in a doughnut, chevron over a dot with bdc, and T with bdc. Windage and elevation are 1/2 moa and caps have a tether as well as the battery cap. Holds zero when you change between them and when you remove it and put it back on. It also has a auto brightness mode that works really fast when moving from dim to bright environment and vice versa or you can go to manual adjustment. It weighs 13 ounces though and has an auto shut off after two hours. You can get magnifiers and flash kills for it. And no I don't have any affiliation with them

How do you like that grip? That steeper angle has always looked awkward to me.

Using a high hold the angle puts my finger in the position to pull the trigger straight to the rear and fills my hand better than the A2. It kind of forces you to have a better grip. The A2 seems to angle my finger down when using a high hold and my knuckle is bent a lot more. My son has the BCM Mod 3 on his which I like, same angle but a hair smaller. Might give that one a try on another lower that I have built. I forgot to add that the angle allows you to get your elbow down instead of out in the air
