[QUOTE=billy67;295150]Hi,
Just got this vintage leather sling
I don't know much about it, its a p14 leather sling
Sling is shorter than a long lee. 45 inches and its written on:
D. MASON & SON, WALSALL, 1940

Anyone can give me more info and on what rifle will fit and any idea of its value ?

It will fit any rifle in service, it was not intended only for the P14 Rifle. It is part of the Infantry Equipment, Pattern 14, the leather substitute standard accoutrement set adopted during the Great War. P14 gear was originally intended for training only but the Britishicon Army as well as those of the Commonwealth increased so rapidly that P14 gear did see front line service in the trenches of the Western Front and in Palestine. Your sling, made in 1940 may have been used on any rifle used by the Home Guard during the Second World War. It could have been used on a P14 Rifle, A US M1917 rifle, a Canadianicon Ross Rifle or an SMLE as well as others, all of which saw service with the Home Guard.
