    I think it started as a functional although maybe not servicable rifle with a good two-groove bore. The trigger, sear, safety and fore & aft sights were not removed prior to plating and are now on there to stay which leads me to believe that no further serious use was intended. At some point after that the bolt head was internally soldered to the bolt (evidence of torch heat in the mag well) locking the whole thing up. I did free up the bolt assy. but have clipped off the firing pin tip just because.
