Hi all
This is my 1st post on this forum and I'm new to the Enfield story, forgive me if I'm treading old ground. However having purchased a scope less 1945 No4T 6 months ago, I am currently on the hunt for a scope and mount. The rifle has its rear pad fitted but no forward one, as it came with one o those smithless mounts and a standard scope, I can only assume it was removed then. I recently spotted a Mk1 scope with a repro mount, having no experience with this set up, I'm a bit weary spending around £1500 to find I can't effectively zero it. I believe a 1945 rifle would normally have a mk3 scope fitted, is this ideal or not that important which mk of scope you fit. I find this rifle fascinating and in time, hopefully have it mated to a scope and firing on the range.
