A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Here in NZicon since this looks utterly un-used and mint I would probably keep this un-fired myself. I would think here in NZ that would fetch $2000NZ and maybe higher. A not so nice one went for $1600NZD I thinl last year and I wouldnt blink at $2kNZ which is $1600USD currently. Hard to know what a collector would pay in the US as they are a lot more common, half that?

Personally if I was you and I wanted a shooter I'd put this away and buy one that is a little used, they are fairly common in the US and pretty cheap.

No its not re-furbed but they had to mark it as the importer into the USAicon. The serial number they put on might make a slight difference to the price, it wouldnt to me but I know some collectors are anally retentative to say the least. Its value is on no dings in the wood or metal wear and tear.
