Also, the military had been using black for their leather holsters for decades. This one just doesn't fit in any of their equipment scale. The holsters used by the US Air Force MPs were vastly different and they used revolvers...stamp sets have been available for some time and it's hard to say when this was stamped. There ARE others here that will have a firm grasp on this subject and I expect them to jump in shortly.
