"Mannlicher Military Rifles" by Paul Scarlata. ISBN 1-931464-14-6.

The one I really, really fancy is the M.86. Just about the only black-powder clip-loaded magazine rifle. 11mm "Werndl" caliber. Most unfortunately, it was production-ready just as the French turned the rifle world upside down with the "small-bore" smokeless powder Lebel. Talk about instant obsolescence!
