Info and pics of 3 Krags I need values on...

Here are some pics of the the 3 Krags but first the info on each one:
The cut down one has what I think os the 03 front sight. On the underside of teh wrist it has the circle P and between that and trigger guard is a J stamped into stock. On teh left side of stock it has ILA in a square or I think it is ILA 1901. All 3 of these have the circle P and the ILA but under I:LA different years. Only teh cut down has the J on stock. All have U on barrel bands and the cut down as well as one long one has one style rear sight while the otehr long pone has a different sight. I think I have pics of all sights. The 2 uncut Krags have leather slings but one has a HOYT 1918 JJM one. It ias teh ILA on side with year 1900 under the ILA. The other uncut Krag jas 1902 under the IlA. Now it looks to be ILA but I could be worng. Also the one has the stacking swivel and screwissing. The cut down is numbered 190xxx, the hoyt slinged one is 292xxx, and other non cut one is 388xxx and it has the different rear sight style. The cut down Krag has a 3 piece cleaning rod in butt but the 2 orriginal ones do not. Sorry about crappy pics but between my computer not working right and having to upload from my IPhone, not easy. I showed both styles of rear sights. Bores are dark but deep rifling. Would like a good value for all 3. I appreciate any info.

jjmitchell60: You're right. Your pictures are crappy and your typing is worse!
Your stock 'cartouche(s)' are actually J.S.A. (J.S.Adams) and year of acceptance into service. The "P" in a circle stamp indicates the arm has been checked (proof) for proper functioning. The 'j' is a Sub-inspector or stock fitter. The cut-down rifle is in an 1899 Carbine stock with a carbine barrel-band.
U.S. Krag barrel bands are marked with a "U" for assembly purposes. The "U" should be on the right side of the arm.
I would say the cut-down is worth $325 to $400 for parts value. (Very good to Mint bores are important to me). You indicated the full length Krags have dark bores. I would guess their value at $600 to $700. Your sights with the adjustment for windage are the 1902 model. The sight without windage adjustment is an 1896. The 3 piece cleaning rod is worth $30. You should put it in the Butt-Trap of one of the full-length Krags.
Gun value is related to the overall appeal of an arm. What you have provided makes it a challenge to assess your Krags.
Very Good Stocks and Hand-guards, with nice markings and not sanded or refinished, would up the value and be a real plus.

I know as to typing but hard to use iPhone when used to my computer which picked a good time to go down. Add in auto correct which I hate. Stocks have not been sanded at all. The ram rod is too short for standard length rifles. I call bores dark but will clean them and take pics with my camera instead of phone once I get either my computer fixed or a new one this week. I know these have not been shot in over 20 years as to the original rifles being I have had them that long. Slings are great and am oiling them this week with neats feet oil as I do saddles. Will get better pics.

jjmitchell60: Your 'Hoyt 1918' sling is a Model 1907 sling intended for the 1903 Springfield. The other sling appears to be a Krag sling (It should be about 62 inches total length, have one brass clasp and a brass button at the other end). I avoid following values on slings.
The three sections of the Krag cleaning rod, when screwed together, total about 24&1/4 inches. This is correct for the 30 inch rifle barrel. Apparently in the field, soldiers combined their rods or else cleaned their barrel from both ends. The carbines were only issued two rod sections. (Note: Mauser cleaning rods are shorter than their barrels).

OK, the HOYT then actually need to be on my Rock Island 1903!!! The other sling is as you described so it will stay on the Krag. Either way I will be selling all 3 Krags. I HAVE to down size and finally want to. I have 3 M1 garands to sell, Carl Gustav Stads Sweded 6.5 with micro meter sights, and many otehr military rifles that am selling. Many I have better models I am keeping like the Garands (I have 6 of them) and some I am getting rid of due to not wanting to reload for anymore. Plus never shoot them. These Krags have not been shot in 20+ years!

Although you refer to the longer rifles as full length, something doesn't look original as the one in the middle is shorter and it looks to have been shortened a bit at both ends.
