This was on not that long ago, possibly 6 pilots and the 2nd best tank of WWII the "Panther" (Shoes, leather jackets, no tin hat and the venerable service 1911 on the hip!) correction 1 pilot used his noggin and wore a hat!!!!!!

We have one of those sitting in Camp Borden Ontario. When I was there in the summer of '88, I took a lazy late afternoon and sat against the turret overhand having a can of coke. Rye and coke that is, thinking about all the guys that went before me because of a tank like this very one...

More likely close air support fighter-bomber pilots, i.e. P-47 'drivers'. They are all officers. Glider pilots were mostly NCOs.
