Has the Garand Collectors Association (GCA) Changed Their Name?
I got this letter in the mail yesterday which had a return address of Model A Ford Club of America. I thought to myself why did I get this junk mail, I don't even like Fords? I was about to throw it into the trash can but decided to open it and see if there was anything of interest in it. Imagine my surprise when there wasn't anything about Ford Model A's but a renewal form for my GCA
membership. I was even more surprised to see the envelope supplied for mailing back my renewal was addressed to the Model A Ford Club of America. Anyone Knows what is up?
So GCA members if you get a letter from the Model A Club of America you better open it. It is your renewal form!

Our management company Attache also manages the Ford restorers club, either it was a mix-up or he's using up surplus envelopes

In either case, I think the GCA
should require them to resend all renewal notices that may have been sent out in the wrong envelopes. I know that in my case I get so much junk mail that I would have just chucked it into the garbage rather than waste my time opening what I thought was just another solicitation. If they were paid to do the job right they should be held accountable

Printer mailed them in the wrong envelope, the owner is mortified. They are reprinting and mailing a correct version today. We'll send a broadcast email today to those who got the wrong one.

He-he-he.
Reminds me of a time that I recieved a call from a pen supplier I had never delt with.
Told me he had a GOOD deal for me on pens , seemed his printer had stamped my name on them in " error".
I told him I had no use for pens with my name and someone else's address and phone number on them .
He responded they had my address , phone number , and fax number on them.
I told him no thanks , if he made that many mistakes , his pens were prob'ly junk , too , and hung up .
