Yes BR soon we will be saying goodbye to them all, the only thing here in Aus is I hope the populace gets off their ars*s and supports all our troops especially from modern conflicts.
Marching this Anzac day past with my fathers medals one of the marching vet's managed to get an Afghanistan vet to leave the crowd of onlookers to march, this was a great moment for all I reckon as our town only has 1500 residents and 1/3rd turn up to watch the parade so for that vet it was a big step and it was heart warming to see his wife and young son in the crowd emotional as we all clapped when he joined in.

The public opinion sometimes lacks understanding thinking the ADF are for home duties, well the records show that they have been involved in almost every conflict of any size and it is for the common freedom of all that the forces do what they do and I hope that the public changes its views on the current situation in the East and embrace our vets for what they have sacrificed both the walking and those that have paid the ultimate price.
