Christmas in Oki.
That was one of the two Christmases I was present for. Thought it might bring back some memories of us party goers.. I have a lot more but my computer is running is running low on memory.
Most of the girls danced naked (I have those images also but wife does not know) to get the GIs to drink and forget their problems. Most of the soldiers were returning home and had wads of cash to spend. Spend, they did!

WTF? What is the gender of the pers with camo and sandals? What is the right arm resting upon? That little dugout does not look that stable or perhaps not waterproof as being bailed out. Fellows going for a pleasure ride? Interesting picture.

Christmas present?
There was a big rumor going around that some Viet women were infected with a STD that could not be treated. Short of amputation! Proved groundless but it made you think!

That was a story that circulated wherever you went.

I expect that yiou were the same as me AFMedic. While the rest of the crunchies were all drinking and wenching you and I were sat on our beds knitting scarves and socks for the needy or taking bible study classes for those fallen women........
One of the nashos (a National serviceman) in Support Co thought he had a dose of the clap JUST before he was due to return home to Oz. And for an hour every evening he used to sit on his bed with his HUGE whanger stuck in a pot of disinfectant assuming that it'd help the MO's daily penicillin jab in the ar......... er....., bottom clear up whatever it is he'd just caught!
I wonder where he is now........ Are you out there Tankie Whitbread?
Just joking!
