They show up from time to time on the CMP
forum under Bolt action for sale. I would say a nice 1903-A3 could vary from $500 -900 depending on condition and originality of parts, with Smith Corona getting a slight premium over Remington. JMO.

Lol! I just have to ask, why are you asking others what You want or should be wanting? Shouldn't it only matter to you what You want? If you don't Know what it is You want yet, just keep researching all information on the different types of rifles until you figure out just what type you want to purchase. I'm not trying to be hard on you, but just think about it all a bit. Never ever make a decision on a purchase for yourself based upon what others think YOU ought to want or have. It's Your money and its your decision. Just keep gathering info on the various types and configurations out there. Then with enough of it under your belt, you'll eventually KNOW what it is you want and whatever that is will be right.

I find that the best place to look is Guns for Sale - Online Gun Auction - Buy Guns at GunBroker.com
. That's probably the top site as far as quantity for sale; plus, most ads have good photos. After a couple of months of browsing, you will start to feel comfortable about bidding. Of course, you can always come back here & post a link to anything you find interesting, & we will help you identify the good ones.

Your profile doesn't show a location. Important since market prices will vary by region. You may wish to see if there are any gunshows nearby. They are generally a good place for someone like yourself to start.

Bushmaster the "Forks of the Delaware" show meets in Allentown, Pa four times a year. There are a few others in PA and NY as well. Good luck with your search.
