Few pics for waco16

Waco16 few pics of the rifles I mentioned and the .22 No4T (repro)

First two have gone through a few conversions in their time, the top rifle I believe was a MLM Mk11 as can be seen by the BSA & M Co, If it was a MLE it would of been marked BSA Co, I could be wrong on this ? some of the experts may chirp in but regardless of there origins they do have some history between them, the bottom one has retained all its original markings.... the left hand side on both shows the conversions to Sht LE CONd 11 and CONd 11*





















The pics below are two more .22's the top one is the No2 IV and in regular use in one of the postal leagues on Rifleman.org,

The other well.... thats a long story, still waiting to get painted but all the other work complete, if anyone is interested I will post a separate thread about this in the gunsmith forum, its regarding re-drilling the the rear pad hole and converting a shot out barrel, more of a trial regarding the barrel but is a good plinker, when the scope is on it does raise a few eyebrows.

I think the top two are particularly sweet because they're part of the old style of craftsmanship. The second two are also very nice because I always liked the full size rifles in .22. They shoot so sweet. The Bren sling speaks of a second photo op though...or was the Bren taking the pics? And of course we'll endure another thread on the trials of the barrel conversion...with pics.

BAR The Bren sling I use with a lot of rifles but mainly the the top one in the second lot of pics. the rifle with the sling and the rear sight (BSA Parker no9) are an excellent combination even with me behind the trigger.....

Really interesting rifles Dukie - love the top two with their really interesting histories. Those .22 enfield conversions can be great shooters - my Metford is one of the most accurate rifles I've got and is great fun to use (although getting the round in the pipe on a cold morning can be slightly interesting).

Thanks 5th, was just going by the bible and couldn't find anything with BSA & M Co marking but its quite clear in your pic.
Its a shame the date was scrubbed .......

PE, they are or were the most used rifles I own, the top two are now on collectors slots so not used much, but the bottom two go through some rounds.... regarding history the top one has had a scrape on the woodwork maybe when it was in NZ ?? (the top pics don't do them justice am struggling with a new camera

I had that photo ready to post to this thread but it was locked before i could, puts a whole different slant on the thread, everyone that contributed to that thread was accused of flaming or being trolls as we disagreed with Tiki's take on his rifle.
