I suggest bore-sight the rifle as follows: Remove the bolt. Set the rifle up on a rest (pillows etc) so that you are sighting on a distinctive distant object, like a chimney-pot, using the iron sights set at 200yds. Without touching the rifle, look down the bore. The distant object should be in the centre of the bore. In other words, the line of sight down the bore and the rifle sights line up at 200yds - more or less. I use the same method for sighting in telescopic sights, but no reason why you can't use this to make initial adjustments to your foresight.
