Is it possible that the I-BR Inland barrel could be correct for the S' G' 1,827@#$ receiver ?

The J stamps are just inspection type stamps and mean nothing. The barrel is an Inland which S'G' did use during their production. These came from BLC and S'G' used about 37,000 of them between Sept. 1943 and Dec. 1943.
