You can have an exact copy of the brass screw I use for only €20,00 + p&p (but you´ll have to supply your own hammer). And that includes a life time guarantee!

Are the threads metric? I have seen metric crescent wrenches for sale here. Never seen a metric hammer. Think I need UTS threads to work with the hammers we have here. Hitting it with one of those metric crescent wrenches would probably work, but then I'd get grief from the wife. "Oh! The Wrench Hammer!"

Which chip shop is that one !
Good lateral thinking but ridgie didge sight tools are not all that common nor cheap as chips I brought this for my No.I Mk III's some years ago off that site and I can assure you Peter it was not cheap as your chips 'cause boy if you pay that much for chips I ain't going to your fish shop for a feed. LMAO I will go to Bunnings tomorrow Vincent and buy a small one of those for my No.4's as the brass drift thingy gets a bit like how hard do I tap it & did it move at all !
villiers seems to be on the right track

Seriously, I was surprised how well the clamp worked.
I restored the clamp to its original condition, as I do a lot more welding than sight adjusting. Got my semi-Sten all clamped up only to find the TIG welder passed away in the night. Oh well! I am sure I will find another one at a pawn shop.... and maybe a Milsurp.
