Is this eBay I.H.C. marked sling what I think it is?
This a new one on me - "rare find" or a four letter word starting with "f" and ending with "e"?

I see where there's an outfit with a similar name supplying newly made Civil War items.

I think that one's a bit too good to be true.

Yes if you think it's a reproduction/fake then your right.

Definably repro. (Poor repro at that)

An "exact copy" (with original markings) of an item that never existed, right? - also including initials and/or abbreviations that might look familiar, but in fact not associated with production of M1
Carbine slings during WWII. Seems like an odd approach to marketing a product doesn't it? Who knows, it might work out for them! - Bob

Yes, it is a fantasy piece Bob. I've seen these slings for years.

When did WarDor start making carbine slings? :/

That sling was recently relisted at $110 "buy it now" - just sold today. This is the first I've seen - were there a lot of them? If it was a "WarDor" did he just add the ink stamp to someone elses repro? - Bob

Yes Bob, there were many around just like it a few years ago. Sadly, there are people who trust sellers and know very little about carbines and such...
I would never use that sling on any carbine even if it was only $10. I''d say the seller made about $100 on this sale.
