    Parker Hale M82 Project

I have posted elsewhere about this but have decided to start a thread about my current project.

i am hoping to put together an accurate repro of the Parker Hale M82.

i have started with a whole bunch of parts as shown below:

In the Photo clockwise from top left:
PH RALS 3 and RAHS 3 Rings (1" rings, correct are RALS4)
    PH 5E Rear Sight
    PH 1200 Bolt
PH 1200 Action with cruddy barrel
PH 1200TX stock , same shape as M82 without magazine inlet.
    PH 1200 Trigger
PH Action screws (2 X hex head. 1X Slot)
    PH 1200TX Trigger Gaurd
    1 X Stock spacer

    Parts i need:
Sling Swivel action Screws and rear sling swivel
    Mauser Hinged Floorplate Trigger Guard
    Mauser Mag spring and Follower
PH Front Sight Tube and Base.
    PH RALS 4 Rings
    2 X Wood Stock Spacers
    1X Recoil Pad (olive)
2X Stock Recoil pad screws short
2X Stock Recoil pad screws long
1x Handstop rail and Handstop with swivel
1X PH 1200TX Barrel or similar barrel turned up
PH Bases number BA 22 and BA 28 :

so far i am pretty happy with what i have gathered. most of the parts i need are available it's just a funding problem at the moment.
also things like the handstop rail i have found with the handstop but the shop wont ship to Aus so that will be an added cost of freight fowarding.
The barrel is going to be the biggest cost and issue for me. right now i would be happy to just pull the current one off but i dont have a mauser action wrench.

i will try keep this thread updated as i go along, if anyone has any hints or tips on the project that would also be appreciated.

    thanks

    Anthony

still in progress. just ordered some devcon for bedding , saving up for the scope. gonna be a ZF95 6X rather than the ZF69 6X as it is the right price and a better scope as this rifle will be in use as a deer rifle.
it will also mean i can use the RALS 3 1" rings i already have.
got to fill some gaps around the floor plate too.

how did you go with the rifle after 12 months ?

Last Oct 2015 they sold a parker hale m82 barrel <new > for $1000 in Vic at the Auctions.

A FYI the same alloy PH trigger guard and magazine /floor plate used by PH in all their sporting rifles is IDENTICAL to the one on the PH M82.
