I asked him to post a pitcture for the top. It's got both dogleg and straight hammer marks. I my opinion, this is a 150 to 175 dollar trigger housing all day long. I don't know what's going on with it, except some stupidity.

Yep, I kind of thought that would be the issue with it. I just don't understand the madness. With sites like this and others, one would think it would be easy to do a little research and bid with an education instead of emotions.

I am more amazed too by the highwood Saginaw stock. It does have a nice cartouche, but also the 2/3 barrel band marks on it too.

It is not the greatest stock in the world and in my opinion not worth anywhere what the price is right now. Must be two or more people with more money then sense in a bidding war and it's a later stock type 2 and not an I cut.

I saw one go for $700 - $800 a few years ago, but was a lot nicer. Besides what's shown in the pictures, I wonder about the condition of the recoil shelf on this one. - Bob

That recoil shelf looks unusable or he would of taken a picture with a better view of it. Looks terrible.

Yep, I noticed the picture was cropped off as to not show it. Some of his other stocks have good pics of the same area. The guy that won it made 29 individual bids, but he got it! I have (2) like that one, and the recoil area is "weak" on both - Hey, they're over 70 years old! - Bob
