Thank you Robertk7 and 25-5 for your responses on ways to safely remove cosmolineicon from wood. I to have viewed many Utube videos using chemicals , hot water , brushes etc.... I do agree with both of u that the Sun Baking method is the best. My stock just needs a good uniform cleaning. I would never think of stripping it down to wood.
Took the old 94 out last weekend and my son and I shot it while taking a break from quail hunting. That is one nice weapon
