Yes, but yours may not have been made in Grand Rapids. Even though that stock had some problems, it also has quite a few strengths. Being a "highwood" with the S'G' ordnance acceptance raises the ante quite a bit. It's still not worth that much though. It's going to have to be totally redone finish wise which will still hurt its value down the road probably, but not definitely. Like I mentioned the type 2/3 marks are very clear on the nose of the stock. Most serious collectors turn their noses up when the stock has the later type band marks on it. I bet the person that bid on this stock ruined his kids Christmas!

Yes, that's worse. On the other hand, the stock IS in as new condition. Guess that's because it was made yesterday, inside out rivets and all...bummer.

Your right ! Ive made pleanty of mistakes along the way and will probabaly make some more. Carbine education can be expensive.

$689. That's only $10 less than I paid for this Saginaw high wood stock....along with the Saginaw S'G' carbine that was in it.
